My ‘True’ Friend
Often closer than family; but like blood of brother,
sister, kin who’s loyal through rough patches.
Of onion skin, too thin, is not a ‘True friend’.
Dependable. Even in storms will weather
scary waves. Terrified by heights, still
will stick by your side, even if to end
of one’s distressing days
fighting for integrity.
‘Right’ not ‘wrong’
always.
Shares time, material, some money.
Gives a ‘good’ word; whether of counsel or praise.

Prov. 18:24: “There are companions ready to crush one another, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”
Prov. 17:17: “A true friend shows love at all times
And is a brother who is born for times of distress.”
