Do Persist! . . . On Love . . . Insist
not peace. Kills unity.
Selfishness begs quick appease.
Flaunts thought: Impunity!
Threatens: Hope to bend.
Yet, agreed a need:
Must remediate.
Withstand a global disease–
a tornado of hate.
In deed spread love’s seed.
Pray for your brother.
Lend an arm strong to lift.
From hearts cold, heat release
internationally swift–
Love one another!

Try Something New: Ricochet
RICOCHET: This is a style that I created in a class on AP and the teacher encouraged me to share the style via a contest, so here we are.
A Ricochet poem contains 3 stanzas if 5 lines each with each stanza following the syllable pattern 5/6/7/6/5. The rhyme scheme is abcba, deced, fgcgf.
