‘What Are We To Say, Then?’ (contest Christianity – Gilda Castillo)

“Look!
I am doing something new;

Even now
it is springing up.

Do you not recognize it?

I will make a way through the wilderness
And rivers through the desert.”

“I will make rivers flow on the bare hills
And springs in the valley plains.

I will turn the wilderness into a reedy pool of water
And the waterless land into springs of water.” Isa. 43:19; 41:18. … More ‘What Are We To Say, Then?’ (contest Christianity – Gilda Castillo)

‘Let Me Live’

‘Let Me Live’

“I have strayed like a lost sheep.
Search for your servant,

For I have not forgotten your commandments.”

“I call with my whole heart.
Answer me, O Jehovah.

Your regulations I will observe.”

For:
“The very essence of your word
is truth,

And all your righteous judgments
endure forever.”

“Abundant peace
belongs to those who love your law;

Nothing
can make them stumble.”

“May your hand be ready to help me,
Because I choose to obey your orders.

I long for your salvation,
O Jehovah,

And I am fond of your law.

Let me live
so that I may praise you;

May your judgments be my help.”
Ps. 119:176, 145, 160, 165, 173-175.

Adherence to ‘The Law’ Still Required?

On a path perilous for all mortal clay,
Jews, then Gentiles imperfectly swayed

rejoiced, when they converted
to, what was once called–

‘The Way’,

(New and vastly different from Judaism’s traditions
and Christianity of this day.)

John heard amazingly from heaven
‘Almighty’ Jehovah, adoringly say:

““This is my Son, the beloved,
whom I have approved.””

Initiating this change
difficult to swallow

causing discomfort and religious dismay: … More Adherence to ‘The Law’ Still Required?

Marching On. . . 21st Century Love During a Time of Violence: Wayne & Sabrina (27)

https://allpoetry.com/poem/17322704-Marching-On.-.-.-21st-Century-Love-During-a-Time-of-Violence–Way-by-Seah-Ray

Wayne walked back into his Father’s home
without Sabrina, feeling quite alone

when Mr. Kang appeared
on the elaborate staircase
to belittle Wayne with his aggressive stare
and bombastic words for the servants to hear:

“I can imagine; knew where you’d be.
Back begging that pathetic immigrant ‘she’
to return to you and all that you see,”

as he waved his arm to and fro
regarding his wealth and prosperity.

Disregarding a well-known fact
that all fore-parents on this land
were not born here.

So a lack of hospitality is a ‘loveless’ act.
And thoughtless speech is ‘uncouth’
and shows a lack of tact…

Wayne spun on his heels
to his steps retract.
Back to Sabrina to beg her pardon
as to a judge lenient.

For Sabrina showed love and mercy
like her Father.

And Wayne needed her support
to lead a life productive.
Always he felt that against him
the decks were deadly stacked…

Words to Self: ‘Go In Peace’

Flickering flames hot
of orange and red

raged between
my heart and head

crippled

forward moves
with feet of lead

until learned
to walk in peace.

Yes:
“Go in peace.”

Now:
Straight ahead…

***

“May the God who gives hope
fill you with all joy and peace

by your trusting in him,

so that you may abound
in hope

with power of holy spirit.”
Rom. 15:13.

Since:
“Jehovah is waiting patiently
to show you favor,

And he will rise up

to show you mercy.

For Jehovah is a God of justice.

Happy are all those
keeping

in expectation

of him.”
Isaiah 30:18. … More Words to Self: ‘Go In Peace’

Marching On. . . 21st Century Love During a Time of Violence: Wayne & Sabrina (26)

Flying
spinning
in sun, sleet, or rain

tossed by a devil
cloaked
wise, though, insane.

Heads–headed downward.
Tails–trailing too.

Still rushing the mud
under somebody’s shoe
made by blood, urine, booze.

Anyway you lose.

Or cradled.
The palm?
A trusty hand.

Never to fling you to randomly land.

Since given a choice
what coin would you be?

Flung in the air.
For a time, careless, and free?
Trusting fate to control?

Or, allow yourself security?

Gratefully collected
placed lovingly inside
a grand treasury?

Making decisions
slaps chance
in the face.

A sensation worth
an everlasting,
joyful, peaceful pace! … More Marching On. . . 21st Century Love During a Time of Violence: Wayne & Sabrina (26)
