Adherence to ‘The Law’ Still Required?
“So the Law became our guardian
leading to Christ,
so that we might be declared righteous
through faith.” Gal. 3:24.

On a path perilous for all mortal clay,
Jews, then Gentiles imperfectly swayed
rejoiced, when they converted
to, what was once called–
‘The Way’,
(New and vastly different from Judaism’s traditions
and Christianity of this day.)
John heard amazingly from heaven
‘Almighty’ Jehovah, adoringly say:
““This is my Son, the beloved,
whom I have approved.””
Initiating this change
difficult to swallow
causing discomfort and religious dismay:
“When some stubbornly refused to believe,
speaking injuriously about The Way before the crowd,
he (Paul) withdrew from them
and separated the disciples from them,
giving talks daily
in the school auditorium of Ty·ranʹnus.”
(Not taught in the synagogue
was found to be ‘okay’…)
“This went on for two years, so that all those living
in the province of Asia
heard the word
of the Lord,
both Jews and Greeks.” Matt. 3:17; Acts 19:9… Persuaded.
Learned that through Jesus to Jah
they needed to, in sincerity, pray:
“Jesus said to him (Thomas):
“I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father
except through me.” John 14:6.
Yes: “Jesus has accordingly become the guarantee
of a better covenant.” Than of former days,
where “many had to become priests in succession
because death prevented them from continuing as such,”
despite what they may have desired;
following the Mosaic Law was no longer required”.
Even today, many feel, this is a great travesty,
a disloyal ‘betray’.
Believing that a ‘few’
are being misled. Have ‘gone’
astray. Although stated: “Go in through the narrow gate,
because broad is the gate and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are going in through it;
whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road
leading off into life,
and few are finding it.” Matt. 7:13, 14.
Yet: “In his saying “a new covenant,”
he has made the former one obsolete.” Heb. 8:13.
“Because he (Jesus) continues alive forever,
his priesthood
has no successors.
So he is able also to save completely
those who are approaching God
through him,
because he is always alive to plead
for them.” Forever and always…
For those who lovingly ‘obey’:
“For God loved the world so much
that he gave his only-begotten Son,
so that everyone exercising faith
in him
might not be destroyed
but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.
Yes: “He brings vengeance on those
who do not know God
and those who do not obey the good news
about our Lord Jesus.
These very ones will undergo the judicial punishment of everlasting destruction from before the Lord and from the glory of his strength,
at the time when he comes to be glorified
in connection with his holy ones
and to be regarded in that day with wonder
among all those who exercised faith”. 2 Thess. 1:8-10.
So: “Let it therefore be known to you, brothers,
that through this one
a forgiveness of sins is being proclaimed to you,
and that from all the things
from which you could not be declared guiltless
by means of the Law of Moses,
everyone who believes
is declared guiltless by means of this one.” Acts 13:38, 39.
“For it is fitting for us to have such a high priest
who is loyal, innocent, undefiled,
separated from the sinners,
and exalted above the heavens.
Unlike those high priests,
he does not need to offer up sacrifices daily,
first for his own sins and then for those of the people,
because he did this once for all time
when he offered himself up.
For the Law appoints as high priests
men who have weaknesses,
but the word of the oath sworn
after the Law
appoints a Son,
who has been made perfect forever.” Heb. 7:22-28.
Salvation made possible for everyone:
“For Christ is the end of the Law,
so that everyone exercising faith
may have righteousness.” Rom. 10:4.
“Now this is the main point of what we are saying:
We have such a high priest as this,
and he has sat down at the right hand
of the throne of the Majesty
in the heavens,
a minister of the holy place
and of the true tent,
which Jehovah set up,
and not man.” Heb. 8:1, 2.
“Though you were dead in your trespasses
and in the uncircumcised state of your flesh,
God made you alive together with him.
He kindly forgave us all our trespasses
and erased the handwritten document
that consisted of decrees
and was in opposition to us.
He has taken it out of the way
by nailing it to the torture stake.” Col. 2:13, 14.
“For in union with Christ Jesus,
neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is of any value,
but faith
operating through love is.” Gal. 5:6.
