I’ll Walk Away Only Today (contest Keeping It Brief – Pablo Neruda Quote )

I stand
still;
you lay.
Silently
Prayed:
My blue moon–
cycle
too
soon.
Shine
enlightening
on this
unbidden
communal
path…
Desired–
Heart
to caress you
even there
where shared musings,
moist blended air
don’t exist.
I kneel.
Yet, I resist;
for seeped dew
cools
angers’ heat…
Try
to forget your face,
tender touch,
loving lips?
Erase
visions
of your natural grace?
Even while you melted
away
from me?
Words
once whispered in twilight
ease me
as do sweet breezes
upon which I remember
our love
will return
to bloom
anew.
Impatient
I’ll wait.
Although my feet
walk away…
Only
today…

I shall go on living.” — Pablo Neruda
QUESTION 12
What Hope Can We Have for the Dead?
“Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” John 5:28, 29
“There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” Acts 24:15
“I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and scrolls were opened. But another scroll was opened; it is the scroll of life. The dead were judged out of those things written in the scrolls according to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead in it, and death and the Grave gave up the dead in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds.” Revelation 20:12, 13
