‘Love’ Is Not a ‘Dying Art’

mentally and physically
laboring
under this thundering
‘system of things’
wieldy weight
of family, work, news
heavy
‘toiling and loaded down’
without ability to simply
concentrate
on given ‘tasks’–
“fortify me, please”
I must daily beg; ask…
energize me
rejuvenate me
my cell’s batteries
regenerate
so that I can navigate
a rushing stream of anxiety
from constancy
of ‘death’ to date…
freshen me to rise
brace me up to see
a ‘sunny’ horizon
over a bloody wall of fallen bodies
building up in front of us speedily…
revivify us emotionally
stimulate our desire to ‘think’
past this present day
no longer blinking,
twinkling
but on the ‘brink’…
reinvigorate a ‘meek’
to continually ‘seek’ peace
and ‘to pursue it’
for humility is not to you
‘weak’…
wake us up daily
as TV, iPad, telephones
lull us to ‘sleep’
with snippets of ‘funnies’
or ‘peeps’ of porn
causing morality to dive
into a dark cavern too steep
to psychologically survive
without a strong angelic
‘helping hand’
lovingly extended
to ‘hoist’ or ‘lift’ us out
of a quicksand of psychotic mire,
yes a cesspool of ‘uncaring’
crippling; too deep…
reanimate us with a vision
of a future ‘truly’ ‘bright’
not allow us to be blindsided
with ‘falsehood’s’ swallowing us
more densely into further ‘blights’…
renew us
with a trained consciousness
of ‘right’
restore our morality
with ‘free-will’ exercised
with true selflessness in sight…
revive our spirits
to delight in simple pleasures
like love of family, picnics, painting,
singing in the gentle rain
not war, bickering, debates, and fights…
enliven us
to follow your model Son, Christ’s
magnificent example of ‘mild-tempered’
and ‘lowly of heart’
whole-soul in our devotion
to do our part in deeds
not ‘just’ words
under his ‘yoke’
making our ‘burdens’ lighter…
strengthen us to endure
until you come to eliminate wickedness
forever… soon
exhilarate us to participate
with earnest endeavors to ‘love another’
tenderly
despite this world’s spiraling ‘hatred’…
keep us within this ‘brotherhood’
which is not a ‘dying art’…
let your ‘Good News’
of your incoming kingdom government
bring more people
delight…

“And this good news of the Kingdom
will be preached
in all the inhabited earth
for a witness to all the nations,
and then the end will come.” Matt. 24:14.

I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.—Matt. 28:20.
As shown in the words of today’s text, when we face challenges, Jesus will support us. In fact, Jesus’ words are a source of strength for us. Why? Because some days are difficult for us to endure. For instance, when a loved one dies, we must deal with that pain not just for a few days but likely for many years. Others must deal with the difficult days that come with old age. Still others face days on which they are overwhelmed by feelings of depression. Even so, we find the strength to go on because we know that Jesus is with us “all the days,” including the darkest days, of our life. (Matt. 11:28-30) God’s Word assures us that Jehovah helps us by means of his angels. (Heb. 1:7, 14) For example, angels give us support and guidance as we preach the “good news of the Kingdom” to people of “every nation and tribe and tongue.”—Matt. 24:13, 14; Rev. 14:6. w20.11 13-14 ¶6-7
