Powerless In Our Distress?

“How long will I have anxious concern,
With grief in my heart each day?”
plea today,
millions, billions of hearts
pass our thunderous skies
these cries are conveyed
though, of promised solutions
international stars speak…
While fuel, food, funding
scarce for shelter
shatters set ceilings
under reigning heavens…
As eyes even virtually,
In unity leak.
For upon earth’s streets
global blood keeps seeping into crevices
from lives taken or given
in crime, anxiety, tragic pleasure
Or rebellion peaked
because “a little leaven ferments the whole batch of dough”. Causing this widespread havoc wreaked.
Hands hide guilty stains;
morals are buried, consciences no longer strained
for “the anxiety
of this system of things
and the deceptive power of riches
choke the word,” from being heard…
Sought: Prestige. Power. Instant fame.
Anger
no longer controlled or contained
as “the whole world
is lying in the power of the wicked one.”–
Satan.
A “roaring lion” with no time left.
Attempting to all ‘meek’ mankind maim…
As grasping for a false ‘freedom’,
a majority, he promised could be attained…
How can that be possible when every desire
in one’s community is not ‘good’ or ‘pure’?
When every day many crouch behind doors,
escalating violence, to endure?
When “time and unexpected events overtake them all” is a statement more true today when not out of doors. A life to retain.
“For man does not know his time.
Just as fish are caught in an evil net
and birds are caught in a trap,
so the sons of men are ensnared in a time of disaster, when it suddenly overtakes them.”
Although, it’s not fate when a catastrophe falls…
But it is a tragedy
when suddenly death does call.
Yet, what is truly sad, are these words
we need to recall: Yes, “the good news we declare is veiled,
it is veiled
among those who are perishing,
among whom the god of this system of things
has blinded the minds
of the unbelievers,
so that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ,
who is
the image of God,
might not shine through.”
So that an eternal destruction
upon disobedient humankind
will suddenly them befall;
these lives not to be reclaimed:
“Jehovah’s day is coming
exactly as a thief in the night.
Whenever it is that they are saying,
“Peace and security!”
then sudden destruction is to be instantly on them,
just like birth pains
on a pregnant woman,
and they will by no means escape.”
Unless precautions today you necessarily take.
***
So, “pay attention to yourselves
that your hearts never become weighed down with overeating and heavy drinking and anxieties of life,
and suddenly that day be instantly upon you
as a snare.
For it will come upon
all those dwelling
on the face of the whole earth.
Keep awake, then,
all the time making supplication
that you may succeed
in escaping
all these things that must occur
and in standing before the Son of man.”
Because: “there are new heavens
and a new earth
that we are awaiting
according to his promise,
and in these righteousness is to dwell.“
Doesn’t this ‘good news regarding the future of our glorious planet excite your mind?
Constrict your heart, making it
in happiness glow and swell?
For even over ‘death’
‘God’s kingdom’ will prevail
when returned to our earth
cleansed of the wicked
a resurrection will begin:
“Go, Daniel,
because the words are to be kept secret and sealed up until the time of the end.
Many will cleanse themselves and whiten themselves and will be refined.
And the wicked ones will act wickedly,
and none of the wicked will understand;
but those having insight will understand.”
“But as for you, go on to the end.
You will rest,
but you will stand up for your lot
at the end of the days.”
Yes! This is a promise too regarding many an ‘unrighteous’ man, like the ‘evildoer’ next to Christ. Jesus’ merciful statement brought back to mind: “you will be with me in Paradise.”
Following his example would not be a mistake.
Given another opportunity to follow this anointed King’s loving ‘righteous’ commands!
For his precious blood for us was paid.
Worth?… Priceless in price!
What a sacrifice for us: Nailed to a torture stake.
***
“Do not be amazed at this,
for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice
and come out”.
“Your dead will live.
My corpses will rise up.
Awake and shout joyfully,
You residents in the dust!
For your dew is as the dew of the morning,
And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life.”
Therefore stated this precious advice:
“We know that the Son of God has come,
and he has given us insight
so that we may gain the knowledge of the one who is true. “
“This means everlasting life,
their coming to know you, the only true God,
and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.”
It behooves us
now
prophetic studying to do…
