Not Always–Straight Ahead! (contest successful marriage – Mulanay)

Paddling on rapids headed to death’s edge
necessitate teamwork; calmness of head
of even ‘one’ not by anger hot led;
to divert in urgency. Not–Straight ahead!
Not crows screeching meant to partners demean
with intensity cruel, heartless, yes, mean.
Mindful of feelings, mates ‘hopes’ and mates ‘dreams’
anchors hearts to hearts as ‘lovers’ esteemed.
Although lapse in judgment can rip apart
forgiveness mends before other departs;
even as ‘pride’ begs to overthrow cart,
‘patience,’ plus ‘kindness,’ protect ‘Love’. Restart.
Reached ‘peak’ on arduous mountainous climb
‘success’ in marriage: Totaled–years sublime
for only couples with same goals in mind
or gained by commitment by ones ‘inclined’?
