Must We? . . . We Must

Pride exists before the fall;
yet, love lifts to scale high walls.
We all must squash hatred’s gall
whether white, black, short or tall.

No more war peace will ensure.
To that end faith must endure
darkness vast, world insecure
till truth erects motives pure.

To rebuild with busted rock
a gate to shield treasured flock
protected by gilded lock
since bonded love violence blocks.

Joining minds across all lands
the Master kills haughty plans;
raises humble hearts to grand.
Sustains life of grateful man.

With rain, sun, flowers in bloom,
hope attained we can assume
horizons endless will loom;
death to wallowing in gloom.

For justice will rule; ire end;
total humanity’ll blend
as the world in safety spins
while enemies become friends.

So now’s the time to refuse
the world’s stage to fully use
promoting lusts which abuse
Godly gifts we’ll sadly lose.
