Its Promises Are Sweet

Love persists.
Exists
in extreme darkness.
Insists
on honesty.
Hates
hypocrisy,
dishonesty.
Enlists,
duty bound
for a loving
brotherhood.
Resists
done deeds
only for appearances
should…
In all likelihood,
Love
reenlists
for the mountainous climb;
does not desist
despite
utmost pain,
brain in
confusion found,
heated frames and bitter minds…
Even when it seems
an avalanche is racing
not far behind…
Love reaches back
deep
for
morals and principles
swept from under hurt or wicked feet
somewhat
difficult
today
for a majority
to find or value to keep…

Yet,
love
beckons…

And it’s promises are sweet.

that you love one another

just as I have loved you.

No one has love greater than this,
that someone should surrender his life

in behalf of his friends.

You are my friends
if

you do what I am commanding you.”
John 15:12-14.
