‘You Will Live’

Taught: “do not become young children
in your understanding,”
“tossed about
as by waves
and carried here and there
by every wind of teaching
by means of the trickery of men,
by means of cunning
in deceptive schemes.”
“Do not be led astray
by various and strange teachings,”
risen up quickly
in a ‘narcissistic’ day
where voices can become ‘noise’
to ‘accurate knowledge’ delay.
We “should no longer go on walking
just as the nations also walk,
in the futility of their minds.”–Baseless
acts or talk, when: “They are in darkness
mentally
and alienated from the life
that belongs to God,
because of the ignorance
that is in them,
because of the insensitivity
of their hearts.
Having gone past all moral sense,
they gave themselves over to brazen conduct
to practice every sort of uncleanness
with greediness.”
For: “Just as they did not see fit
to acknowledge God,
(Or “they did not consider it worthwhile
to have accurate knowledge of God.”
Lit., “they did not approve
of holding God in accurate knowledge.”)
“God gave them over
to a disapproved mental state,
to do the things not fitting.”
But: “Brothers,
do not” you “become young children”
again “in your understanding,
but be young children as to badness;”
“be wise as to what is good,
but innocent as to what is evil.”
“Become full-grown
in your understanding.”
“Mature people” not trying to blend in
with the world’s cycling trends
spinning
with an end in sight:
Please, can we “use… powers of discernment
(“perceptive powers.”)
trained to distinguish
both right and wrong”
during these ‘last days’
of ‘critical times’?
“We should no longer be children”.
“Put away
the old personality
that conforms
to your former course of conduct
and that is being corrupted
according to its deceptive desires.“
Instilled in us as imperfect creatures born.
And we “should
continue to be made
new
in” our “dominant mental attitude,
and should put on the new
personality” in maturity worn…
“that was created according to God’s will
in true righteousness and loyalty.”
“For if you live according to the flesh,
you are sure to die;
but if you put the practices of the body
to death by the spirit,
you will live.“1 Cor. 14:20; Eph. 4:14; Heb. 13:9; Eph. 4:17-19; Rom. 1:28; 16:19; Heb. 5:13, 14; Eph. 4:22-24; Rom. 8:13 © 20 minutes ago, Lucretia McCloud death • hope • love • sad • society • spiritual

Come to me.—Matt. 11:28.
We have chosen a life of self-sacrifice and hard work. Jesus warned us that we would be persecuted. But we can expect that Jehovah will give us the strength to endure any challenge. The more we endure, the stronger we will become. (Jas. 1:2-4) We can also expect that Jehovah will provide for us, that Jesus will shepherd us, and that our brothers and sisters will encourage us. (Matt. 6:31-33; John 10:14; 1 Thess. 5:11) The woman whom Jesus cured from her “flow of blood” was refreshed on the very day that she was healed. (Luke 8:43-48) But she would receive lasting refreshment only if she became a loyal disciple of Christ. What do you think she did? If she did choose to come under Jesus’ yoke, imagine the reward—serving with Jesus in heaven! Any sacrifices she had made to follow Christ would pale in comparison with that blessing. No matter what our hope is—living forever in heaven or on earth—how thankful we can be that we have accepted Jesus’ invitation: “Come to me!” w19.09 25 ¶21-22
