‘You Heard It Said’

“The eyes of Jehovah
are roving about through all the earth
to show his strength

in behalf of those
whose heart

is complete

toward him.”

“Because being under his anger
is only for a moment,

But being in his favor
is for a lifetime.

Weeping may come in the evening,

but in the morning,
there is a joyful cry.”

Ps. 30:5.

***

‘Human fathers’
disciplined us
when
needed a straightening of thoughts
erroneous
conveyed from within.

We learned to respect their ‘headship’ divine
without ‘abuse’… given loving and kind.

Then:
“Should we not
more readily
submit ourselves
to the Father of our spiritual life

and live?”

2 Chron. 16:9.

He who displayed the greatest act of love:

Sacrificing his first-born Son.

A Life for Life
in
Ransom
done.

Allowing us this opportunity–
Pardoned. Paroled.
After
repentance
from acts risen from bitterness and strife.

A reversal begun:

Freed from prison to death through forgiveness:

“And no resident will say: “I am sick.”
The people dwelling in the land will be pardoned for their error.”

Isa. 33:24.

***

“Who is a God like you,
Pardoning error and passing over the transgression…?

He will not hold onto his anger forever,
For he delights in loyal love.

He will again show us mercy;
he will conquer our errors.

You will throw all their sins into the depths of the sea.”

Micah 7:18, 19.

***

For:
“If he fixes his attention on them,
If he gathers their spirit and breath to himself,

All humans would perish together,
And mankind would return to the dust.”

Job 34:14, 15.

***

Therefore:

Christ

“must
rule as king

until God has put all enemies under his feet.

And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing.”

1 Cor. 15:25, 26.

What greater gift
could any imperfect human
give?

Back to perfection
all of Jah’s human offspring
to everlasting praises in joy to sing…

***

“It is because of Jehovah’s loyal love
that we have not come to our finish,

For his mercies
never end.”

Lam. 3:22.

***

“You heard that it was said:
‘You must love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’

However,
I say to you:
Continue to love your enemies
and to pray for those who persecute you,

so that you may prove yourselves sons of your Father
who is in the heavens,

since he makes his sun rise on both the wicked and the good
and makes it rain on both the righteous and the unrighteous.

For if you love those loving you,
what reward do you have?

Are not also the tax collectors doing the same thing?

And if you greet your brothers only,
what extraordinary thing are you doing?

Are not also the people of the nations doing the same thing?

You must accordingly be perfect,
as your heavenly Father is perfect.”

Matt. 5:43-48.

EVERLASTING BLESSINGS HE PROMISES TO BRING.

The eyes of Jehovah are roving about through all the earth to show his strength in behalf of those whose heart is complete toward him.—2 Chron. 16:9.

We see abundant evidence that Jehovah protects his people today. Consider: We are preaching and teaching the truth in all parts of the earth. (Matt. 28:19, 20) As a result, we expose the evil works of the Devil. Surely, if Satan were able to, he would stop all our activity, but he cannot. So we do not need to be terrified of wicked spirits. If we are faithful to Jehovah, the demons cannot cause us lasting harm. However, all of us need to resist wicked spirits and trust in Jehovah. If we do that, we will receive many blessings and we will avoid being misled by Satan’s lies. Also, we will not be paralyzed by fear of the demons. Above all, we will strengthen our friendship with Jehovah. “Oppose the Devil,” wrote the disciple James, “and he will flee from you. Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you.”—Jas. 4:7, 8. w19.04 24 ¶15; 25 ¶18 © 21 minutes ago, Lucretia McCloud    love • hope • teen • society • pain • sad
