Authority

Authority

I raise my aching heart,
inquisitive mind, searching eyes
grateful palms to

the ‘most high

over
all the earth’–Jehovah,

on stiff knees
of pride

despised

when I realized
how too much
compromises…

Under
cumulonimbus clouds
globally collective

I am determined
to survive,
through
elected… Selected.

Just not by me–for I resent
being humanly manipulated,

subjected to indignities
born from imperfections
needing to be internationally corrected…

However, I do concede this: Authority.
For without it–Anarchy.

Placed in their ‘relative positions’
by Jah

for a semblance of peace and order
in imitation of… He. Him. The Ultimate One.

The Almighty.

Now is his time to take back the earth
before devastation–Totally.

“For all the things that were written beforehand
were written for our instruction,

so that through our endurance
and through the comfort from the Scriptures

we might have hope.”

Everlasting life–A generous gift.

To all
obedient

humanity.

“Let every person be in subjection to the superior authorities,

for there is no authority except by God;

the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God.

Therefore, whoever opposes the authority
has taken a stand against the arrangement of God;

those who have taken a stand against it
will bring judgment against themselves.

For those rulers are an object of fear,
not to the good deed,
but to the bad

Do you want to be free of fear of the authority?

Keep doing good,
and you will have praise from it;

for it is God’s minister to you for your good.

But if you are doing what is bad,
be in fear,

for it is not without purpose that it bears the sword.

It is God’s minister,
an avenger to express wrath against the one practicing what is bad.”

Yes: “For the Lord’s sake

subject yourselves to every human creation,
whether to a king as being superior
or to governors

as sent by him to punish wrongdoers
but to praise those who do good.

For it is the will of God that by doing good
you may silence the ignorant talk of unreasonable men.

Be as free people,

using your freedom,
not as a cover for doing wrong,

but as slaves of God.

Honor men of all sorts,
have love for the whole association of brothers,

be in fear of God,

honor the king.”
