None Too Soon

If the world hates you
do not sigh… Nor worry.

Do not kneel and weep
behind limping ‘likes’,
faulty ‘follows’, or single ‘shares’
of which a bleeding globe
loses sleep.

The world grabs hold for a second;
then just as speedily lets go,
seeks another…

While you may pursue its light
doing uncharacteristic things
to make one stutter in regretful fright

as you grasp again
for its fleeting shine

to followers bind.

Though forgetful of what you daily see–

rapid decline

happening as yarn unraveled
caught by cat
racing down a crowded street
with a barking dog in quick pursuit
at its paws.

Not looking back…

False thinking: We are swift on our mental feet…
But look at our track record;

if the Creator did not its reigns resume…

Continual traffic to the moon.
As if trash orbiting our planet
should become a natural state.

Shuttle fumes contributing to future’s already doomed…

Do we not understand
that what we do affects everything else
like dominos set up in a tight room;

if we don’t stop just ‘doing’
for money’s sake?

Rain forests would eventually fail to bloom…

A correction is in order.
For the Creator did mandate

finally to occur
none-too-soon:

“Look!

The day of Jehovah is coming,
Cruel both with fury and with burning anger,
To make the land an object of horror,

And to annihilate the land’s sinners

from it..“

“Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to save them in the day of Jehovah’s fury;

For by the fire of his zeal the whole earth will be consumed,

Because he will make an extermination,
indeed a terrible one,

of all the inhabitants of the earth.””

“To bring to ruin (*Or “to destroy those who are destroying.”)
those ruining the earth.”

[“Just a little while longer,
and the wicked will be no more;

You will look at
where they were,

And they will not be there.”]

Yes: “The great day of Jehovah is near!
It is near and it is approaching very quickly!

The sound of the day of Jehovah is bitter.
There a warrior cries out.”

“Look! Their heroes cry out in the street;
The messengers of peace weep bitterly.”

“Woe because of the day!
For the day of Jehovah is near,

And it will come like a destruction from the Almighty!”

So: “Gather together, yes, gather yourselves,
O nation that feels no shame.

Before the decree takes effect,
Before the day passes by like chaff,
Before the burning anger of Jehovah comes upon you,
Before the day of Jehovah’s anger comes upon you,

[Seek Jehovah, all you meek ones of the earth,
Who observe his righteous decrees.

Seek righteousness, seek meekness.

Probably* (Or “It may be that.”)
you will be concealed on the day of Jehovah’s anger.”

“Hate what is bad, and love what is good”.

“Let your love be without hypocrisy.
Abhor what is wicked; cling to what is good.”

“Turn away from what is bad and do what is good;
Seek peace and pursue it.”

Because: “the meek will possess the earth,
And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.”

“For “everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah
