Daniel chapter 12:7–Time, Times, and Half a Time

https://allpoetry.com/poem/15590281-Daniel-Chapter-12—The-Time-of-the-End–and-Beyond-by-Seah-Ray

“He raised his right hand and his left hand to the heavens
and swore by the One who is alive forever:

“It will be for an appointed time, appointed times, and half a time.* (That is, three and a half times.)

As soon as the dashing to pieces
of the power of the holy people
comes to an end,

all these things will come to their finish.”

***

Into hand of small horn given,
‘holy ones’, three and a half times
generally agreed upon–time, times
and half a time

equivalent to half Nebuchadnezzar’s
“seven times” of madness due to arrogance
by Jah forgiven:

“You will be driven away from among men,
and your dwelling will be with the beasts of the field,
and you will be given vegetation to eat just like bulls;
and you will become wet with the dew of the heavens,

and seven times will pass over you,

until you know that the Most High is Ruler
in the kingdom of mankind

and that he grants it to whomever he wants.”

Or as stated by An American Translation which reads:
“They shall be handed over to him for a year, two years,
and half a year.” “For three years and half a year.” Even as
James Moffatt’s version said.

When did that ‘dashing’ begin?… And when will it be through–

persecution in the manner of Christ, for righteousness sake?

Not for hypocrisy and proclaiming ‘untruth’. . . Somewhat like what is occurring in Russian to ‘meek ones’ who for their religious ‘freedom’ stalwartly pursue.

They are seeking deliverance, maybe felt ‘long overdue’?

However, let’s look to Daniel’s opening verses
to give us a clue:

“During that time Miʹcha·el will stand up,
the great prince who is standing in behalf of your people.

And there will occur a time of distress
such as has not occurred since there came to be a nation
until that time.
… Does that not sound like ‘none to soon’?…

Maybe there will be a ‘greater time of distress’,
let us not presume, but since Michael, Christ enthroned,
in 1914 cleared the heavens of demonic activity

our earth has increasingly gotten worst…’Satan’s short period
of time’ this wickedness coerces.

Yes, look at the horizon with violence escalating, natural disasters devastating, famine, fire, suicide in bloom…

Tell me how much more can we take as billionaires seek to exit disaster by sampling space and eying the moon.

Salvation all ‘righteous’ will especially need indeed
after Babylon the Great is destroyed ‘in one day’

her “plagues will come,
death and mourning and famine,
and she will be completely burned with fire,

because Jehovah God, who judged her, is strong.”

“And the kings of the earth… will weep and beat themselves in grief over her when they see the smoke from her burning. They will stand at a distance because of their fear of her torment and say:

‘Too bad, too bad, you great city, Babylon you strong city, because in one hour your judgment has arrived!’

Even “the merchants of the earth”, “and every ship captain and every seafaring person and sailors and all those who make a living by the sea stood at a distance and cried out”.

Her destruction imminent; have no doubt…

As in ‘one hour’
prophesied its doom:

“No light of a lamp will ever shine in you again,
and no voice of a bridegroom”.

Because “in her was found the blood of prophets and of holy ones and of all those who have been slaughtered on the earth.”

But “during that time your people will escape,
everyone who is found written down in the book.

***

“At that time those who fear Jehovah spoke with one another,
each one with his companion,

and Jehovah kept paying attention and listening.

And a book of remembrance was written before him
for those fearing Jehovah and for those meditating on his name.

***

Like: “To the angel of the congregation in Philadelphia” written:
“Because you kept the word about my endurance,

I will also keep you from the hour of test,
which is to come upon the entire inhabited earth,
to put to the test those dwelling on the earth.

I am coming quickly.

Keep holding fast to what you have, so that no one may take your crown.”

“So let us not give up in doing what is fine,

for in due time we will reap
if we do not tire out.”

***

So Daniel continued: “And many of those asleep in the dust of the earth will wake up,

some to everlasting life
and others to reproach and to everlasting contempt.”

For, “there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.”

This we will explore further as when we discuss future admonition to “enter into your interior rooms”… To Be Cont’d
