‘A Light to the Nations’ (Compilation)

“In this mountain
he will do away with the shroud
that is enveloping
all the peoples
And the covering that is woven over
all the nations.”
“For Jehovah has commanded us in these words:
‘I have appointed you as a light of nations,
for you to be a salvation
to the ends of the earth.’”
“So that my salvation
may reach
the ends of the earth.”
***
“The people who were walking in the darkness
Have seen a great light.
As for those dwelling in the land of deep shadow,
Light has shone on them.”
“The people sitting in darkness saw a great light,
and as for those sitting in a region of deathly shadow,
light rose on them.”
As promised to Abraham:
“And by means of your offspring
all nations of the earth
will obtain a blessing for themselves
because you have listened to my voice.’”
“Now the scripture,
foreseeing that God would declare people of the nations righteous through faith,
declared the good news
beforehand to Abraham,
namely:
“By means of you
all the nations will be blessed.”
So those who adhere to faith
are being blessed
together with Abraham,
who had faith.”
***
“But that the dead are raised up,
even Moses made known in the account about the thornbush,
when he calls Jehovah
‘the God of Abraham and God of Isaac and God of Jacob.’
He is a God, not of the dead, but of the living,
for they are all living to him.”
**
“So,
then,
as through one trespass
the result to men of all sorts
was condemnation,
so too through one act of justification
the result to men of all sorts
is their being declared righteous
for life.”
Therefore,
“If we make the statement,
“We have no sin,”
we are misleading ourselves
and the truth is not in us.”
However,
“If we confess our sins,
he is faithful and righteous so as to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we make the statement,
“We have not sinned,” we are making him a liar,
and his word is not in us.”
***
“Finally I confessed my sin to you;
I did not cover my error.
I said:
“I will confess my transgressions to Jehovah.”
And you pardoned the error of my sins.”
“For you,
O Jehovah,
are good and ready to forgive;
You abound in loyal love
for all those who call on you.”
***
“He forgives all your errors
And heals all your ailments”.
***
“I will blot out your transgressions as with a cloud
And your sins as with a thick cloud.”
“As far off as the sunrise is from the sunset,
So far off from us he has put our transgressions.”
“Come, now,
and let us set matters straight between us,”
says Jehovah.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
They will be made as white as snow;
Though they are as red as crimson cloth,
They will become like wool.”
“I,
I am the One
who is blotting out your transgressions
for my own sake,
And I will not remember your sins.”
“Repent,
therefore,
and turn around
so as to get your sins blotted out,
so that seasons of refreshing may come from Jehovah himself”
