we,
strolled
as one, in unity,
before dark,
through brilliant foliage falling
in our neighborhood park,

leisurely.

Though, we felt descending,
onto parents,

more
a parent,

singly

not dawned

this storm in brew… For even I proceeded to fume,

to quietly mutter,
yet prick my cat’s ears
to flick and shutter… in agreement
I do adamantly…
assume.

For habitually we heard,

unfortunately,
not in words few

what scatters variant birds to flight
of no longer
passive proximity
to compliant or complaisant

view;

since tears do fall
or already they fell
to fountains fill

or to water
graveyards

in future still

if not contained
verbiage of sewage
which festers in silent heated
stew… When not taught ‘peace’ and ‘kindness’
to bequeath all: Instilling sweet euphony.

But infused,
not as uplifting fragrant perfume,

between these two darlings
or devils–only immediate bloodline… knew?

or were they being groomed to grow
as previous roots grew?

–into combative hostility.

By means of exuberant words of praise,
mere flattery?
while gaslit the other–

their confidence invisible,
as head drooped and feet dragged
while voice tiny stammered and stuttered

since in past begun its tragic slay
from toddler’s past
until young child today,

and now it’s received
as dead one walking–aspirations slew?

… Horrible–

if this be ‘true’.

Why do these ‘caretakers’ breed this hatred between sibling seeds?

To ensure daily food or rather fodder
to store,

while another slaves
to cower or hover

until parental decease

which in light of acid behavior
may advance in speed

since carried–abhor,
hate to sprout as ‘wicked’ weed?

What deeds in parent’s history
need they not repeat
to crack unity,
harmony

with this mental deceit
of manipulation of free-will
to arrogance or defeat?

Why not build a bridge,
construct a palace

instead of breeding animosity plus malice?

“Let a rotten word not come out of your mouth,
but only what is good for building up as the need may be,
to impart what is beneficial to the hearers.” Eph. 4:29.

I pulled the lease
to hast a pace
and distance myself from these relationships laced
with arsenic–

parents pitting children
subliminally
against each other… for what healthful purpose?

“Let your words always be gracious,
seasoned with salt,

so that you will know how you should answer each person.” Col. 4:6.

For did not the Creator permit them to be
custodians,

a blessing,
to his further praise?

“Look! Sons are an inheritance from Jehovah;
The fruit of the womb is a reward.

Like arrows in the hand of a mighty man,
So are the sons of one’s youth.” Ps. 127:3, 4… Until
the end of one’s day.

Then why raise,
cultivate,

poisonous personalities
for unsuspecting global
humanity?

Partly, this is why we live this foretold prophecy:

“But know this,
that in the last days
critical times hard to deal with will be here.

For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power; and from these turn away.” 2 Tim. 3:1-5.

Yet, a promise for renewal is on the horizon:
