“Stop preaching!” They Preach’
at a designated speed
to my destination,
while another driver
a ‘stop’ sign did not either see or feel a need to heed.
Thankful I was to continue to brake
as they sped by
without slowing down.
Everyday, this well-founded law is frowned upon,
disobeyed;
while personal ‘freedom’ not to ‘obey’
puts others’ lives–innocent babies too
dangerously at stake–liberties betrayed.
Even as maybe
under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs
which too
‘many’ individually choose to abuse
is a decision
theirs
to make.
It would seem obvious why this traffic law not to negate?… True?
Not necessarily.
Today mankind’s trained: Make your own mistakes… “You’re independent.” “Don’t let others dictate!”
So, laws are not upheld even by so-called ‘respectable’ folk who joke about evading taxes, slipping out the back door of Ms. Jones, or scaling ‘walled’ barriers–eyes eager to explore
with binoculars, cell-phones… peeking, listening
where ‘illegal’ these actions are defined…
Obedience no longer
at a ‘majorities’ core,
inclined…
{What consequences felt:
“Relate.”…
Who should we answer to when religious leaders, authority figures, teachers or other ‘moral’ instructors
pronounced or written laws
themselves ‘freely’ break?
… Eager for all to join in rebellion: Participate.
‘Do what is right.’… Not the popular course.
‘Do what you want’ or ‘Do what you can get away with.’ Leave others prone to ‘obey’ labelled a ‘fool’… Forced into ‘no other recourse?’… ‘Why even hestitate?’
Yet, our, by masses, unaccredited Creditor
states a ‘true Christian’s’ ‘must’:
“Hate what is bad, and love what is good,
Let justice prevail in the city gate.” Amos 5:15.
In God do we really trust? As pronounced upon some monies flying as an eagle above lands where valleys are lined with bodies who tripped over cliffs called ‘greed’ and ‘lust’.
“He has told you, O man, what is good.
And what is Jehovah requiring of you?” Micah 6:8.
“What is Jehovah your God asking of you?”
As said to Moses:
“Only this: to fear Jehovah your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve Jehovah your God with all your heart and all your soul,
and to keep the commandments and statutes of Jehovah that I am commanding you today
for your own good.” Deut. 10:12, 13.
Like…this requested rule to 1st century Christians the apostle Paul did state: “Let every person be in subjection to the superior authorities,
for there is no authority except by God;
the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God.” Rom. 13:1.
Until, it conflicts with God’s superior laws…
““Stop preaching!” they preach,
“They should not preach
these things;
Humiliation will not overtake
us!”” Micah 2:6.
Then:
“We must obey God as ruler
rather
than men.” Acts 5:28.

I ponder over your reminders.—Ps. 119:99.
In order to benefit from God’s laws, we must grow to love and respect them. (Amos 5:15) But how do we actually do that? A key is to learn to view things the way Jehovah views them. To illustrate: Imagine that you are having difficulty sleeping well. Your doctor prescribes a program involving diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes. After trying the program, you find that it works! You probably would greatly appreciate your doctor for helping you to improve the quality of your life. In like manner, our Creator has given us laws that can protect us from the damaging effects of sin and thus improve our life. Think about how we benefit from following the Bible’s laws about lying, scheming, stealing, sexual immorality, violence, and spiritism. (Prov. 6:16-19; Rev. 21:8) When we experience the rich rewards that come from doing things Jehovah’s way, our heart naturally grows in love and appreciation for both Jehovah and his laws. w18.06 17 ¶5-6
