‘Blow a Horn . . . !’
Shout a war cry in my holy mountain.
Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble,
For the day of Jehovah is coming! It is near!” Joel 2:1.
Although many years ago stated: “For the vision is yet for its appointed time,
And it is rushing toward its end, and it will not lie.
Even if it should delay, keep in expectation of it!
For it will without fail come true. It will not be late!” Hab. 2:3…
Though, you need not have fear.
These words divine
spoken about ‘our time’… do not hate.
Because,
“The anger of Jehovah will not turn back
Until he has carried out and accomplished the intentions of his heart.
In the final part of the days you will clearly understand this.” Jer. 23:20.
Yes, “know this,
that in the last days
critical times hard to deal with will be here
For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power; and from these turn away.” 2 Tim. 3:1-5.
Does it not seem clear to you?… Do not let this world be too dear to you.
““For look! the day is coming, burning like a furnace, when all the presumptuous ones and all those practicing wickedness will become like stubble.
The coming day will certainly devour them,” says Jehovah of armies,
“and it will leave them neither root nor branch.
But on you who honor my name, the sun of righteousness will shine, with healing in its rays; and you will skip about like fattened calves.”
“And you will tread the wicked underfoot,
for they will be like dust under the soles of your feet on the day when I take action,” says Jehovah of armies.” Mal. 4:1-3.
“Before the decree takes effect,
Before the day passes by like chaff,
Before the burning anger of Jehovah comes upon you,
Before the day of Jehovah’s anger comes upon you,
Seek Jehovah, all you meek ones of the earth,
Who observe his righteous decrees.
Seek righteousness, seek meekness.
Probably you will be concealed on the day of Jehovah’s anger.” Zeph. 2:2, 3.
If you: “Hate what is bad, and love what is good,
Let justice prevail in the city gate.
It may be that Jehovah the God of armies
Will show favor” to you. Amos 5:15.

“Do not treat prophecies with contempt.
Make sure of all things;
hold fast to what is fine.
Abstain from every form of wickedness.” 1 Thess. 5:20-22.

Keep on the watch.—Matt. 24:42.
As these critical times worsen, all of us need to keep on the watch. When Jehovah acts, it will be at the right time. (Matt. 24:42-44) Meanwhile, exercise patience, being ever watchful. Read God’s Word each day, and be vigilant with a view to prayers. (1 Pet. 4:7) Take note of sterling examples of brothers and sisters whose lives reflect their joy in keeping on the watch as well as letting their light shine. Fill your life with upbuilding activity and association. That will bring you great joy, and it will seem to you that time is passing quickly. (Eph. 5:16) It is faith-strengthening to know that our imperfection does not stop us from serving Jehovah acceptably. Consequently, appreciate Jehovah’s provision of “gifts in men,” congregation elders. (Eph. 4:8, 11, 12) The next time an elder visits you, take advantage of the opportunity to draw on his wisdom and benefit from his advice. w18.06 24-25 ¶15-18
