Take Courage!

‘Take Courage!’ (1st draft)

Take courage! John 16:33.

For we know the verse:

“For God loved the world so much
that he gave his only-begotten Son,

so that everyone exercising faith in him
might not be destroyed

but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.

Everlasting Life… Offered Adam and Eve.
As their offspring we must heed this advice:

“This means everlasting life,

their coming to know you,
the only true God,

and the one whom you sent,
Jesus Christ.” John 17:3.

“For this is what the love of God means,

that we observe his commandments;
and yet

his commandments are not burdensome”. 1 John 5:3.

“Indeed,
consider closely the one who has endured such hostile speech from sinners against their own interests,

so that you may not get tired and give up.” Heb. 12:3. Or “give out in your souls.”

“Therefore, do not throw away your boldness, which will be richly rewarded.

For you need endurance,

so that after you have done the will of God,
you may receive the fulfillment of the promise.

For yet “a very little while,” and “the one who is coming will arrive and will not delay.”

“For the vision is yet for its appointed time,
And it is rushing toward its end,
and it will not lie.

Even if it should delay,
keep in expectation of it!

For it will without fail come true.

It will not be late!” Hab. 2:3.

No, “Jehovah is not slow concerning his promise, as some people consider slowness,

but he is patient with you because he does not desire anyone to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance.” 2 Pe. 3:9.

“Or do you despise the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience,

because you do not know that God in his kindness is trying to lead you to repentance?”
Ro. 2:4.

“But my righteous one will live by reason of faith,”

and “if he shrinks back,
I have no pleasure in him.” Jah said.

“Now we are not the sort who shrink back to destruction,

but the sort who have faith for the preserving of our lives.” Heb. 10:35-39.

In imitation of Jesus Christ the Messiah–
Our Leader and our appointed head.

“By means of him we have the release by ransom through the blood of that one,

yes, the forgiveness of our trespasses,
according to the riches of his undeserved kindness.

This undeserved kindness he caused to abound toward us in all wisdom and understanding

by making known to us the sacred secret of his will.

It is according to his good pleasure that he himself purposed for an administration at the full limit of the appointed times,

to gather all things together in the Christ,

the things in the heavens and the things on the earth.” Eph. 1:7-10.

*

“For this very reason, God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every other name,

so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend—of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground

and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord

to the glory of God the Father.” Phil. 2:9-11.
