You May Think . . . ‘Finally United’ (Contest / Imagine)
an enveloping bleakness
lived day-by-day.
No proclaimed
‘religion’.
Banished by ‘UN’ nations.
Given governmental power
to ‘freedom of worship’
globally… slay.
*
You may ‘think’
finally united…
‘Peace and Security!’
earthly
‘heavenly’
portrayed,
as commercial merchants
‘weep and mourn’ her– Babylon the Great,
her finest customer…
savagely ravaged.
Quickly dead;
eternally laid.
‘Too bad, too bad,
the great city,
clothed with fine linen, purple’, ‘scarlet’
‘richly adorned with gold’,
‘precious stones’,
‘pearls’,
‘in one hour
such great riches’
devastated!’
What a pity?
*
Is this too expensive a price
for ‘warmongering religion’
an international disruptive force
to have to pay; hence,
its destruction
for national interests
considered totally… Hey! ‘Ay, okay’?
*
You may ‘think’
finally united…
while any ‘craftsman
who practices any trade’
daily monies for his family
to be indefinitely delayed’.
*
You may ‘think’
finally united…
though ‘no voice of a bridegroom
and of a bride
will ever be heard’ in her ‘again’.
“What God has yoked together”
suddenly hushed
a buried vow,
as ‘happifying’
secular words
outwardly spoken
are compromised… trade.
No church bells shall ring ‘convene’.
No tinsel on trees evergreen.
No consumer ‘gifts’ of ‘generosity’ seen.
No eggnog shared.
No ‘Christmas’ parade annually.
Hidden
‘Faith’…
Practically unseen.
*
You may ‘think’
finally united…
Sports in entertainment
increasingly violent; aggressively mean
consuming minutes to years
on fields or screens
as a growing minority
hoard
their
‘god’
powerful
mighty
worldly
‘green’.
As a majority
laud
this dollar ‘king’.
*
You may ‘think’
finally united…
when international armies
stand daily on scene
to enforce
a liberating
‘freedom’–
actually
slavery
to immorality’s
deathly reign.
For ‘morality’
is no longer
maintained;
galloping
bucking
as black stallions
myriads
driven by
virtually
‘profane’.
While,
‘truth seekers’
nationally disdained
hunted prey
for radical slaying
pray:
‘Thy Kingdom Come!’
