Learn to See a Light . . .

Learn to See a Light . . .

I need not gasp for breath
in waves violent
threatening to sink my dreams

deep down
into dark oblivion

by contorted twisting of me

not allowing my voice
even silent to pitifully scream,

then tossing me as an inner-tube
before swallowing me woefully mean,

conscious and whole
until of life
denude

to no longer be visibly seen

to enjoy
breathing air peppered with salt
while strolling gently on deck wearing rubber soles
with wine in a glass loosening my tongue
a bit to embolden my thoughts
to slip through moistened smiling lips

tickled my soul

while still able to contain
inner musings personal

held precious,
held gold.

Or,

while merely dreaming of sailing
while I rock in a tiny chair

thankful
for an unpolluted atmosphere

in this small confining space

just grateful
its finally cleaned
of
dangerous mold

even when lightly laced.
