In solemn diplomatic address

by an angelic son on top Mount Sinai,
miraclously,

among a cloud’s midst singularly accessed,

Moses,
Jehovah’s name
heard first majestically stressed

before commenced
to verbally dispense

The Almighty’s divine qualities.

Wisdom and Power
not firstly confessed:

“Jehovah, Jehovah,

a God merciful and compassionate,

slow to anger
and abundant in loyal love
and truth,

showing loyal love to thousands,

pardoning error and transgression and sin,

but he will by no means leave the guilty unpunished”. Ex. 34:6, 7.

Yes, said to a man seeking reassurance
of God’s backing. Requiring

understandable proof:

“Please,

if I have found favor in your eyes,
make me know your ways,

so that I may know you and continue to find favor in your eyes.” Ex. 33:13.

Emphasized

God’s willingness to stay a sun or part a sea

demonstrating compassion and mercy…

Not distant or aloof.

“Therefore, become imitators of God, as beloved children”. Eph. 5:1.

For will again be done,
except endlessly

what was done for Moses and a nation
through a first-born angelic son

who had not yet been sent to earth as a human ransom for an obedient comparative few:

“Moses hurried to bow low to the earth and prostrate himself.

Then he said:

“If, now, I have found favor in your eyes, O Jehovah,

then please, Jehovah, go along with us in our midst, although we are an obstinate people,

and forgive our error and our sin, and take us as your own possession.”

In turn he said:

“Here I am making a covenant:

Before all your people, I will do wonderful things that have never been done in all the earth or among all the nations,

and all the people among whom you live will see the work of Jehovah,

for it is an awe-inspiring thing that I am doing with you.” Ex. 34:8-10.

We, now living, have these prospects too:

“Eye has not seen and ear has not heard, nor have there been conceived in the heart of man the things that God has prepared for those who love him.” 1 Cor. 2:9.

An understanding of Jah’s wisdom and ways provided to faithful servants like Moses who loved justice and righteousness.

Shown by their faithful actions during a time of violent reactions.

Meekness and humility displayed

despite arrogance’s rise globally
as a blood-red and blackened hue.

Isn’t mercy and compassion mirrored
what we individually want to lovingly reproduce?
