Ode to Cat Whiskers Sonnet (example)
Nocturnal prowlers curious beheld.
As even rats scatter to felines’ track.
Whiskers, fine tuned, in darkness to assail.
Tactile hairs sensitive to changing air
slight to mighty intensifying near.
Nerve endings twitching to detect with flare.
Mice quiver. Flee found homes in horrid fear.
Heros of houses, city to rural.
Especially after dusk, when all sleep.
Found napping in sun curled among florals
Kittycats’ whiskers’ as sentinels keep.
Robot sensors mimic vibrissae makes.
‘E-whiskers’, God, man tries to duplicate.
Please humor me with an English Sonnet using inspiration from one of the links below.
Keep it family friendly.
