good association–
Divine.

Then maybe the outer casings
will as a cookie crumble
slide right off your
compliant spine.

Whatever the outcome
continue to let your inner feelings
stay soft and delightful.
Let your brightness as a beacon shine.

Do not retaliate
become like them, unkind.

Do not take on the solid darkness
rubbed daily against you
which can eternally damage
both your sincerity of heart
and corrupt your righteous mind.

And who knows,

maybe your resistance
in constant persistence
to remain calm and sane
will eventually cause them
to lose their cruelty–
its sinful stain.

They may come to hate
their blatant actions

change

then forever with love
clothe themselves.

Their humanity
reclaim
or
as brothers
a family loyalty
lovingly
start
to
maintain.
