[ Jah, Jehovah, ]

Jah, Jehovah,

Just what do you see when you peer into me so deep

down past my kidneys?

… My motives playing hide-and-seek in concealed darkness within me. Skipping over imperfections gleefully.

Searching half-hearted for crippling weeds which trip fleet feet on a path for eternity.

Reveal what repels you.
Free me with your forgiveness after refined I prove to be. Cleansed of wrong desires distorting my focus from your righteous Sovereignty.

Make me mirror your reflection
as shown through your first-born beloved Son.

Help me put away all falsehood
my heart contorts into ‘truth’ enabling
me to proceed… as if in innocency.

Your way is lovely as a blooming meadow which yields perfumed blossoms of every red, purple, yellow with green leaves

caught by variant senses to international appeal.

But overshadowed by stresses
of which global mankind must daily
in anxiety cope with; deal.

Glances toward a beautiful future concealed
in everyday violence as young and old kill ‘hope’.

Murdered by philosophies arrogantly spilled.

Taught to doubt the ‘unseen’ though breathing it every second freely without thought upon will.

Father, please, make me whole in heart, mind, strength and soul.

Point me steadfast forward
towards your unimaginably marvelous
foretold day

when wickedness will no longer hold hostage your meek ones who earnestly towards you

faithfully

in truthfulness
pray.
