[ Today’s better than yesterday ]
Today is better than yesterday since from it I can learn
that what I do today may cause me to crash and burn.
Today’s better than yesterday since already it has passed.
Whereas, time today can be spent making better decisions
everlasting to last.
Today is better than yesterday flown or already spent.
Whereas, today thankfully granted me is more time precious lent.
Today is better than yesterday even though yesterday may have gone well. But, what I will accomplish today…Only time will tell.
“For we were born only yesterday, and we know nothing,
Because our days on earth are a shadow.” Job did say.
But today from him we comprehend that even in death, our faithfulness to Jah, in his memory will thankfully stay.
Whereas lives lost yesterday, tomorrow He’ll soon on earth replay:
“O that in the Grave you would conceal me,
That you would hide me until your anger passes by,
That you would set a time limit for me and remember me!
If a man dies, can he live again?
I will wait all the days of my compulsory service
Until my relief comes.
You will call, and I will answer you.
You will long for the work of your hands.” Job 14:13-15
