[ With each new breathe maybe… a whisper ]

once strong now soft as a wisp like silk spun
this delicate thread interwoven over time a web begun from a hungry heart
a songbird’s trill from deep within a tickled throat
love songs to thrill as real laughter floats
or poems to quote to attract
then attach a willing loving soul
even if in trickery spider’s eggs hatched
with honesty pure
as a honey bees sweetness
a cure to help endure
the lonely spells… the stings with swells since at times stung eager to run
but struck
a deal to kiss to heal nightmares dispel
to stick with not stuck to one wounded withered as a leaf that falls drifts lands upon a grassy mound or floral hill
in loyalty I promise I will
