Love’s true nature
a benevolent heart
houses
with watchful eyes
as windows
rinsed
by sympathy
clearly seen
reasons to beget
selfless
self-sacrificing
imitating a Father
wonderfully kind,
not tyrannical
hurtful
mean
of whom
we pray
never
to forget
since,
loving us first
though truly twisted
some of our desires.
His love is so surpassing!
Motivated,
shall he not us inspire?
As, open to us
a welcome door
not simply
left ajar.
His love
let us explore
by accepting his gracious invitation:
“Draw close to me!”
Although, residing
as the “God of the heavens”
to you loving me
I’m never
ever
far.
